Frances Coleman - Artist

 

 

Welcome to my Website. I have been painting for about 20 years now although I have always had an interest in painting and drawing. I try to do a variety of subjects and paint mostly in water colour but like to paint in mixed media, gouache and acrylics. I am always experimenting with different techniques etc. Recently I have been painting on boxed canvas, some of these pieces are quite contemporary - a new challenge!

I have taken part in the Bournemouth Gardens Exhibition in the past few years and exhibit at various craft venues, Christchurch Festival, Hampshire Artists and the Southampton Kite Festival.

I work mostly from my own photographs and travel to different parts of the country looking for new subjects. One of my favourite places is the Isle of Man where I have relatives to visit. What a beautiful place, I find it very inspiring.

I am lucky to have the support and interest of my family.
