Frances has been painting and drawing since she was a child, furthering her study at Southampton Art College, followed by evening tuition for watercolour techniques. After much experimenting, she developed a style of her own with bright colours using mixed media. Frances's aim is to bring happiness to people's lives through her paintings. Her inspiration mostly comes from her travels and the Hampshire/Dorset area, where she lives with her husband Martin. She always has her camera handy!
During the summer, Frances is found at the Art & Maker's Market in the Bournemouth, while in the winter months she exhibits at the Hayloft Gallery in Christchurch and different craft fairs.
Frances also loves to craft and incorporates her art into these items, which are for sale on Etsy.
I fell in love with the Lot Valley in Southern France when we visited last year. This painting represents the charm of the region, so I purchased it for my bedroom.
